Description

Bite-sized, no-bake pecan pie balls with maple, brown sugar, and chocolate — perfect for holidays, gifting, or festive trays.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Dough:

  • 2 cups finely chopped pecans (toasted optional)
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Optional Chocolate Coating:

  • 12 oz semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or neutral oil

Instructions

  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, and salt.
  • Add Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla. Add to dry mix and stir until cohesive.
  • Chill Dough: Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Roll Balls: Scoop and roll dough into 1-inch balls; place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • (Optional) Dip in Chocolate: Melt chocolate and oil in microwave, stir smooth. Dip each ball and place back on the sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt or extra pecans.
  • Set & Store: Let chocolate set, then store in airtight container in the fridge. Serve slightly chilled.

Notes

  • For dairy-free: use vegan butter and dairy-free chocolate.
  • For gluten-free: substitute gluten-free graham crumbs or almond flour + flax meal.
  • Store up to 7 days in fridge or 3 months in freezer.
  • Flavor boosters: Add cinnamon, mini chips, or crushed pretzels.
