Description

  • 1 large ripe tomato, thinly sliced

Condiments

  • 2 tbsp grainy mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Optional: hot honey or aioli drizzle

Seasonings

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prep Bread & Ingredients: Slice knob rolls with a serrated knife. Toast cut sides in a skillet with olive oil until golden. Prepare all other ingredients.
  • Build Base: Spread mustard-mayo mix on the bottom roll. Add one cheese slice, then layer sliced chicken or turkey. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add Fresh Elements: Layer arugula, tomato slices, onion rings, and any optional add-ons. Add a second cheese slice if desired.
  • Finish & Press (Optional): Spread mustard-mayo on the top roll. Close sandwich. Press in a skillet or sandwich press for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and melty.
